Winter Camps/clinics- 2020


  • Baseball All-Skills development program

    Focuses on hitting, catch and throw, pitching, catching, infield, outfield, base running, agility, speed and strength.

    This program is NOT for beginner players! Attendees must be able to throw and catch the ball consistently. For beginner players we recommend private lessons.


    Session I

    Ages: 7-9

    Tuesdays: January 28, February 4, 11, 25, March 3, 10

    Time: 5:00 – 6:00 PM

    Ages: 10-12

    Fridays: January 31, February 7, 14, 28, March 6, 13

    Time: 5:00 – 6:00 PM

  • PITCHLAB  With Coach Mike "Mick" Mcferran

    Each pitcher will leave the completion of this program with the following:

      • A wealth of knowledge and new experiences to put them on the path toward realization of ultimate athletic potential on the mound. 

      • An expert-level understanding for universal pitching biomechanics, as well as their own.

      • A year-round arm care and overall flexibility program.

      • A personal Google Drive file that is organized and easily accessible containing: data-logged spreadsheets for command, velocity, motus sleeve data accumulation, and all video taken from the course

      • A written assessment from Coach Mick on current status of the athlete, where the athlete saw improvement, where he can continue to improve, what his strengths and weaknesses are, and more. This is professional input that is respected and sought across baseball!

    Schedule:

    • Sundays in January/February 6-7:30 pm

    • Thursdays 4:30-6 pm.

  • February Break Baseball Camp

    Your young baseball player will have a blast learning and developing their skills at our popular February Break Baseball Camp. Our coaches will help your child develop their hitting, pitching and fielding skills in a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and fun! Character lessons are built into the program to aid parents/coaches with this important aspect of youth sports.

  • High school/middle school Baseball Hitting camp

    Improve your hitting skills before the upcoming high school and middle school baseball tryouts. At the end of the week you’ll have a greater understanding of proper swing mechanics, timing, practice and game routines/preparation and mental game adjustments.


    Grades: 7-12

    Dates: February 17, 18, 20

    Time:1:00-2:30pm

    Location: The Sports Barn

    Instructors: Ken and Norm Hayner with other Hayner Academy Baseball Staff

  • high school/Middle school Softball Hitting Camp

  • Deanna Marie Rivers foundation clinic

    Featuring Head Coach PJ Anadio and the coaches and players from national champion Herkimer County Community College. This is an "All Skills Clinic" excluding pitching. The clinic will also feature situational defense and "live" pitching.

    Everyone attending the clinic must register online so that we know who and how many are coming. There is a $40 minimum donation to attend which will be collected at the door by the Deanna Rivers Foundation. 100% of the money collected goes to the Deanna Rivers Foundation.
