Summer Camps

  • 2025 Baseball Camps

    This is our 33rd year offering our popular full week summer baseball camp! Your child will learn, develop skills, make friends and have fun! 


    The camp will operate each day from 9:00 AM - noon.  The typical daily camp schedule looks like this:

    9:00 AM - 11:00 AM    Instruction and drills for individual skill development

    11:00 AM - 12:00 PM   Coach pitch game


    Ages: 8 -13

                - Must have played league age 8 for the spring/summer 2025 season          

                - Age 13 players must have been eligible for league age 12 (Summer of '25)

                 - Age 13 players will play on the 50/70 field.

               

    Dates: Week 1:  August 11 - 15, 2025

                Week 2:  August 18 - 22, 2025


    Time: 9:00 AM - Noon

    Place: Halfmoon Town Park (rain site: The Sports Barn)

    Fee:  200.00

  • Miss Shen Jr. Softball Camp

    The Miss Shen Jr. Softball Camp is open to both Miss Shen and non-Miss Shen players.  The camp is instructed by the Hayner Academy Softball Staff:

    • Amanda Fifield - Varsity Softball Coach at Ballston Spa HS
    • Mandy Ferro - Varsity Softball Coach at Guilderland HS
    • Ashlyn Kersch - JV Softball Coach at Burnt Hills HS
    • Jessica Brustle - former Varsity Softball Coach at Loudonville Christian School

    Young players will have a great time learning and playing the great game of softball in an atmosphere conducive to learning and fun!


    Ages: 8-14 (must have turned 8 by January 1, 2024)

    Time: 9 AM - noon

    Date: July 7 - 11, 2025

    Place: Miss Shen Softball Fields @ Clifton Commons Complex

    Cost: $170 for Miss Shen Players

              $190 for Non-Miss Shen Players

  • Late Summer Catching School with norm hayner

    Ages 12/13/14 - "Transition and Thrive on the Big Field"

    Ages 10/11/12 - "Transition and Thrive on the 50/70 Field"

    • The focus will be on throwing mechanics and throwing accuracy in order to improve "pop times" to second base.  Also on blocking and introduction to throwing arm/shoulder care and arm strength development.

    Dates:  To be announced

    Times:  8:45 am - 10:15 AM for upcoming 13u and 14u players.

                  10:30 am - 12:00 pm for upcoming 11u players and second year 12u

    Place: Halfmoon Town Park Fields 1&2

  • Summer Baseball catcher development program

    Dates:  To be announced

    • Mid-week ensures arm recovery time
    • Key Skills and Focus:  Improve all aspects of throwing, metrics, arm strength, pre/post arm care, receiving and blocking
    • For experienced catchers only.  If you are a beginner we recommend private lessons.

    Baseball Ages 10 - 12 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM

    Baseball Ages 13 - 18 from 10:15 - 11:15 AM
